First Data, a provider of commerce-enabling technology and solutions, has been appointed by SABIS, the IT arm of Spain-based banking group Banco Sabadell, to offer processing and acquiring services across several TSB banking portfolios.
Under the terms of the contract, First Data will transfer TSB’s credit and debit card portfolio onto its FirstVision platform.

The FirstVision platform comprises an extensive range of products and services to fully support the management and processing of credit cards, including bank, co-branded, private label and Sharia-compliant cards, as well as debit, commercial, prepaid, loyalty management, loan and card acquiring.
Additionally, First Data will power the bank’s digital payments and provide merchant acquiring services for money and balance transfers.
Commenting on the agreement, SabisUK managing director Angel Alonso said: “We selected First Data for the company’s enterprise capabilities, global footprint, and proven international migration experience.
“This strategic partnership will allow us to focus on configuring and launching new products and services for TSB as we grow our presence in the UK market.”
