CO-OP Financial Services has selected FIS Cardless Cash for its terminal driving services that enable customers to avoid using a plastic card at the ATM to withdraw funds.

CO-OP offers members of the participating credit unions with surcharge-free access to accounts through its nationwide ATM network.

Under the terms of the deal, CO-OP will add FIS Cardless Cash to its menu of CO-OP ATM Terminal Driving services, with a pilot likely to be launched in the first quarter of 2017.

FIS Cardless Cash shields consumers by decreasing risk of card skimming and shoulder surfing. By using FIS Mobile Banking with TouchID, customers can safely access their funds and authorize the amount they want without inserting a plastic card into an ATM.

Working as a remote control for the ATM, the mobile banking app offers privacy and security for consumers.

FIS COO of banking & payments Anthony Jabbour said: “Cardless Cash combines innovation, efficiency, convenience and security to create both a valuable end-user service and a new revenue source for financial institutions.
