“Temenos’ digital banking platform will allow us to be at the forefront of innovation and offer world-class services to our clients.”

Founded in 1987 as Caisse Commune d’Epargne et d’Investissement, the bank has 40 branches across Cameroon.

It also has commercial operations in several other African nations such as Equatorial Guinea, South Sudan, Zambia, and others.

The digital transformation should enable Afriland First Bank to comply with  specific regulatory requirements of the UEMOA zone.

It will also help to fulfil the regulations followed at Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) member countries.

Temenos Middle East & Africa managing director Jean-Paul Mergeai said: “Our integrated, real-time and scalable banking software helps financial institutions address the evolving customer demands and regulatory requirements.

“We look forward to working with Afriland First Bank as it transforms the services it offers to its customers.”
