British banking group Barclays has unveiled a new direct to consumer investment offering known as Ready-made Investments.

The new proposition will be available to Barclays Smart Investor customers at a minimum investment of £50.

Barclays said that its new service will help customers develop a diversified portfolio by investing in individual Barclays funds, with each fund comprising a mix of investments across various asset classes.

Customers will be able to choose from an existing range of funds based on their selected risk profile and financial goals.

Customers can select between ‘Growth’ and ‘Income’ investments.  The Growth Investment funds will charge 0.45% as management fee, while the Income Investment funds will charge between 1.45% and 1.48%.

A team of investment strategists at Barclays will conduct daily reviews and update a fund’s asset allocation considering market developments.
