ANZ, developer of ANZ goMoney, Australia’s first mobile-to-mobile payment app has announced that the app now has 1m users.

Averaging at 20m log ins and transferring $2.5bn a month goMoney has totalled 61m transactions and $35bn worth of transfers since its launch.

Matt Boss, managing director of products and marketing, ANZ said: "ANZ goMoney is a clear example of how we are building our digital banking capability to respond to customer demand for greater mobility and flexibility."

ANZ goMoney has received various awards including the Innovative Retail Banking Product of the Year in the 2011 Australian Banking & Finance Magazine Awards.
