The value marked an increase of 80% over the previous month of $1.3bn and a rise of 50% when compared with the last 12-month average of $1.56bn.

The US held a 43.98% share of the global financial services industry venture financing deal value that totalled $5.32bn in August 2021.

In terms of venture financing deal activity, the US recorded 42 deals during August 2021, marking a decrease of 41.67% over the previous month and a drop of 8.70% over the 12-month average.
