The value marked a decrease of 22.9% over the previous month of $2.71bn and a rise of 241.7% when compared with the last 12-month average of $611.72m.

Europe held a 43.09% share of the global financial services industry venture financing deal value that totalled $4.85bn in June 2021. With a 16.49% share and deals worth $800m, The Netherlands was the top country in Europe’s venture financing deal value across financial services industry.

In terms of venture financing deal activity, Europe recorded 30 deals during June 2021, marking a decrease of 3.23% over the previous month and a rise of 15.38% over the 12-month average. The UK recorded ten deals during the month.
