Poland’s banking and payments industry registered a 2.8% drop in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.62% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the banking and payments industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 23.84% share in March 2022, recording a decrease of 1.77% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 63.56% in March 2022, registering an 11.93% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 14.49% share, an increase of 9.78% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 11.48%, registering a 16.67% decline from February 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.74%, up 21.21% over the previous month.

Top five banking and payments companies in Poland’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 15.4% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s banking and payments industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

SIX Group posted 170 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 63.46% over the previous month, followed by UBS Group with 81 jobs and a 44.64% growth. ING Group with 73 IT jobs and Banco Santander with 65 jobs, recorded a 63.86% decline and a 30.85% decrease, respectively, while Citigroup recorded a decline of 20% with 56 job postings during March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.62%, down by 7.43% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 10.47% share, registered a decline of 6.41% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.47% share, down 2.94% over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.43%, recording a month-on-month increase of 66.67%.
