Polish direct bank
BGZOptima, a joint venture of local lender BGZ and
Netherlands-headquartered Rabobank, has gone live with Callataÿ
& Wouters’ Thaler software.

The implementation
represents Callataÿ & Wouters’ first project in
Poland.

“We have worked with
Callataÿ & Wouters on several occasions for direct banking
software,” said Gert Bouwman, head of Rabobank International Direct
Banking.

“Our experiences with
their Thaler software made them a natural partner for this
project.

“I was impressed with
the speed, diligence and dedication of the Thaler
implementation.

“Callataÿ & Wouters
created a versatile, flexible solution for our partnership project
that will allow it to serve BGZOptima’s customers in the best
possible way. They have earned our trust,” added
Bouwman.

“I am always happy when
a customer is happy,” said Marc De Groote, CEO of Callataÿ &
Wouters.

“For us, the successful
completion of this project is also important as our first strategic
foray into the Polish market. It proves that we’re on the right
track and that both our product quality and our dedication continue
to make a difference.”

The bricks and mortar
unit of BGZ operates a branch network of 370 outlets across
Poland.

BGŻOptima – the first
online only savings bank in Poland – was launched last November
with the roll out representing RaboDirect’s fifth international
market.

RaboDirect first
launched in Ireland in 2005; direct banking units in Belgium, New
Zealand and Australia followed.
