Kenya-based NIC Bank has introduced a new mobile banking app, NOW, which will allow the lender to offer all its services online.

With NOW, the NIC Bank customers will be able to access the bank’s services such as balance enquiry on the accounts, M-PESA payments, bill payments and fund transfers through their mobile phones and other electronic devices.

NIC Bank group managing director, John Gachora, said, "Everything that you need to do when you walk into a branch today, you will be able to do that both online as well as using the app that you will have on your phone.

"All we are saying is that you can actually have a relationship with us without ever having to walk into a branch."

In addition to the app, NIC Bank also provides software and cheque reader, using which customers can instantly deposit cheques through their mobile devices.
