Chase Bank Kenya has partnered with ElectraCard Services (ECS) to launch its student prepaid cards on the electraPREPAID platform.

With the PA-DSS certified platform, Chase Bank can provide safe and secure solution for its customers holding MasterCard prepaid cards, which will be offered in partnership with University Students Community Organization (UNISCOO).

In addition to offering users an easy way to manage funds, the UNISCOO card will also allow users to perform top ups at any Chase Bank branch or through M-Pesa and Airtel Money, and shop at both physical and online retailers that are tied-up with MasterCard.

The prepaid card will also serve as ID card, membership ID and as ATM card for all the UNISCOO members.

Chase Bank assistant general manager, John Fernandes, said through a secure, efficient and cost-effective payment system to carry multiple currencies, the prepaid card will offer flexibility and reliability to their customers.

"The association with ECS will assist our customers with technology that is safe, lucrative and designed by experts in the payments domain," Fernandes added.
