Bangkok Bank Public Company, a Thailand-based lender with more than 17 million customer accounts, has deployed Fiserv’s Mobiliti Edge solution as its mobile banking, alerting and payments platform.
Launched initially in 2009, the Mobiliti Edge will allow Bangkok Bank customers to securely access their financial information and perform transactions through their choice of mobile web and downloadable apps for Android, iPhone, BlackBerry and iPad.
Using Mobiliti Edge’s secure on-device activation, customers can complete their activation process for mobile banking directly from their mobile devices. Additionally, customers can check their account balances, transaction history, locate ATMs and branches, transfer funds, pay people and bills, and top up prepaid accounts.
Bangkok Bank president, Chartsiri Sophonpanich, said delivering mobile banking and payment services that are easy for consumers to access and use is a strategic priority for Bangkok Bank.
"The mobile channel is evolving at an astounding pace in Thailand and elsewhere in Asia. We are deploying a reliable platform that can expand to support more users and more services, so we can effectively address the anticipated growth and changes the mobile channel will bring to our bank," Sophonpanich added.
