Bank Albilad has implemented FIS’ payments hub to manage the increased demand for payments services across its network in Saudi Arabia.

Bank Albilad is integrating FIS’ card management system with its internet banking and call centre operations, managing their debit and prepaid cards from issue to expiration.

The bank will use the integrated FIS Switch platform to handle ATM requests across the bank’s national network.

The consolidated payments infrastructure will include the implementation of dedicated banking service centres, which will be rolled out over the next three years.

FIS Switch will replace Albilad’s legacy infrastructure and process over eight million ATM transactions per month and manage a portfolio of 4m debit and prepaid cards.

Rashid Al Othman, CIO at Bank Albilad, said: "This project has rewarded us with a significantly streamlined payments operation, and it will play a major role in enabling us to achieve our growth and operational objectives in the next few years.
