A technical issue at NatWest has denied its customers to avail interest payments on savings accounts and individual savings accounts (ISAs).

The problem came to light when customers, who tried to login to their online bank accounts, received a message that read, ‘We are aware that monthly, quarterly and annual interest payments have not been applied to some savings accounts. This is being investigated as a priority and we’ll update you with more information as soon as we can.’

NatWest spokesman said they were aware that there is an issue with interest being applied to some customers’ NatWest ISAs and savings accounts, and ensured that none of the customers will lose from the glitch.

The accounts that were affected by the glitch include E-Isa, Reward Reserve, Advantage Reserve, all Fixed-Rate Isas, E-savings Plus, Instand Access Reserve, Instant Save, E-Savings and First Reserve.

However, NatWest later confirmed that it had fixed the technical problem.
