Al Salam Bank-Bahrain (ASBB) has launched its digital banking app to offer a range of mobile banking services to customers.

The app will offer family accounts, digital onboarding, and a suite of new features. The app can also be used to launch new products and services.

The new app will grant customers full control over their accounts on a customisable dashboard.

Al Salam Bank head of innovation Mohammed Al Shehabi said: “We built this app with the customer being the focal point.

“The app has been shaped by today’s environment, both in how it behaves and interacts with the customer. Our aim was to create an elegant, aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-use interface.”

The app offers debit cards to entire household via family accounts, while allowing the main owner to track and monitor spending, noted the bank.

It comes with cloud-based customer security features and authentication as well as allows users to open a Danat Savings account instantly.

Commenting on the launch, Al Salam Bank head of retail banking Mohammed Buhijji said: “This inaugural release of the app is only the beginning.

“Upcoming releases will offer more options for customers to go branchless, go contactless and go fully-digital.”

The app users will also be able to view their account analytics, transfer funds between accounts, update their KYC details, top-up their accounts with debit cards, view financing options, and login biometrically.
