The Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Dime Community Bancshares, has rolled out its latest mobile banking app to enable users to pay bills, transfer funds, and check account status using their smartphone.
Known as Dime Mobile Banking, the new app also features mobile deposit capability that lets users to photograph their cheques and then transmit the deposit to the bank through their mobile device.
The bank said that the free Dime Mobile Banking apps are now available at the Apple App Store(SM) and Google Play Store, for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh chief retail banking officer Terence Mitchell said, "With the activation of mobile banking, Dime now offers a full suite of digital banking channels for customers who prefer to bank from their home, at the job or on the move."
In order to boost its mobile banking initiative, the lender is also planning to roll out a campaign to announce the arrival of Dime Mobile Banking.
The bank said that Dime Mobile Banking is a continuation of its strategy to extend Dime’s eBanking platform to include online banking, mobile banking, bill pay and remote deposit, and to increase remote access usage with existing customers.
