Lloyds Bank unveils new features for its mobile banking app on handheld devices, enabling customers to securely pay bills and people, including first-time payments with full internet banking transaction limits.
The new app offers enhanced security and simplified experience with fast login for iPhone and Android users. Customers can make payments such as PayM anytime without the need to carry around secondary devices such as card readers or confirm authentication through phone calls.
Lloyds Bank digital director Adrian Bryant said: "Over a quarter of our customers’ bank with us using their mobile phone, and over a million customers use only their mobile to manage their money."
"It’s therefore really important for us to make mobile banking faster and easier without compromising on security."
The bank said that customers can securely register their device with the iPhone and Android app, as the app uniquely associates each device with its owner and each customer can register up to five devices to their account.
The app can be downloaded from Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and features payments to new and existing payees with full transaction limits and complete transaction history on current, savings and credit card accounts.
