Colombia-based Banco de Occidente has rolled out the first of its new generation of retail branches.
Banco de Occidente’s branch re-design coincides with a new visual communication system and refreshed brand identity.
Banco de Occidente partnered with UK-headquartered design consultancy allen international in a comprehensive review of the bank’s customer touchpoints.
According to the bank, the new concept branches offer a striking, modern, authoritative brand focussed on optimising customer service.
Digital communication is at the heart of the branches, with the aim of unifying once disparate product areas and divisions.
Banco de Occidente was acquired by Colombia’s largest financial services firm, Grupo Aval in 2006.
Grupo Aval’s four banking subsidiaries, Banco de Bogotá, Banco de Occidente, Banco Popular and Banco AV Villas serve 11.7m customers in Colombia from a combined branch network of 1,374 outlets.
Banco de Occidente has total assets of around $15bn and reported a net profit of $223m in fiscal 2013.
