German banking giant Deutsche Bank has named Peter Massion as head of global transaction banking (GTB) and head of trade finance and cash management corporates (TF/CMC) in Japan.

Based in Tokyo, Mr. will be responsible for growing Deutsche Bank’s global transaction banking business in Japan, across its financial institution and corporate client segments.

Massion, whose appointment is effective 1 September 2014, will be based in Tokyo and will report to Lisa Robins, head of GTB Asia Pacific, and Kaushik Shaparia, head of TF/CMC Asia Pacific.

Locally, Massion will report to Makoto Kuwahara, Deutsche Bank’s chief country officer for Japan.

Massion, prior to joining Deutsche Bank, was managing director and head of transaction banking for Japan at Standard Chartered Bank.

Previously, he worked for Deutsche Bank for over 14 years in a variety of roles based in Japan, Taiwan, India, Singapore and the US.
