Malaysia-based Hong Leong Bank (HLB) has further upgraded its digital brand, Hong Leong Connect.
The digital brand was launched in 2011, refreshed last year, and now has been further upgraded to offer simple, fast and reliable banking services for its customers.
One of the key features of the brand is its mobile money transfer service that enables Connect app users to send money to anyone via the recipients’ mobile phone numbers referred to as PEx.
The recipients will then get a PIN following which they withdraw money from an auto teller machine, and in case of HLB account holders, the money will be directly transferred into their accounts.
The function helps both cashless as well as cardless transactions, and lowers cost of business, especially for merchants.
The app is available on smartphones on the Apple, Android, BlackBerry and Windows operating systems and Apple operating systems for tablets.
