Tesco Bank has suffered a major technical glitch which has disabled its customers’ accessibility to their online accounts.

The two-day technical failure impacted nearly 300,000 of the bank’s seven million customers.

The problem affected current accounts, savings accounts, loan services, and online transfers from one account to another.

Bank-based transactions including paying standing orders or direct debits, along with debit or credit card payments remained unaffected.

The glitch has now reportedly been fixed.

The bank on its official Twitter account said, "Customers can now see their accounts online as normal. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank customers for their patience."
