Pakistani lender Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has launched a new remittance service, named Remittance Through ATM, for customers in the UAE to remit money to Pakistan.
The service will offer a remittance channel for the Pakistani expatriate population in the UAE, allowing them to transfer money 24/7 by accessing the bank’s ATM network in the country.
The offering, which is an extension of the HBL FastTransfer product that allows the bank customers to send remittances to pre-registered beneficiaries using any HBL ATM in the UAE, will be available HBL customers free of charge.
HBL officiating regional general manager Afaque Majeed said: "The new service empowers HBL customers in the UAE with a quick and secure way to send money to their loved ones in Pakistan, free of charge.
"This service eliminates our account holder’s dependency on intermediaries and also saves them time by not having to queue up at agent locations or bank branches to remit money abroad – thereby freeing up our customer’s time while also allowing our branch staff to attend to customer needs and demands more efficiently."
