Indian private sector lender Yes Bank is reportedly planning to foray into UK banking market to tap international investors.
The bank’s founder and CEO Rana Kapoor in an interview to IBTimes UK said: "We are planning to build a presence in London, New York and Singapore over the next five years.
"Our aim is to attract international investors from all over the world. The UK is a very important place to be, we want to tap into the business community in Britain and use the country as a platform for growth in Europe."
According to the publication, the bank is planning to open branches in the UK, if they receive regulatory approval.
Kapoor said he wants Yes Bank to serve as a platform for those investors to tap the growing Indian market.
"India is one of the most spectacular investment opportunities in the world," the publication quoted him as saying.
