French banking group BNP Paribas has launched a range of virtual reality (VR)-based solutions to enhance customer experience.
Among the bank’s offerings is a VR-based app for retail banking customers that includes consulting bank transaction records.
Apart from the app, the bank, in association with French startup Vectuel & RF Studio, also unveiled a teleportation capsule for real estate known as POD. The solution can be used by home buyers to get a 3D, 360 degrees view of buildings under construction.
BNP Paribas Group head of communications Bertrand Cizeau said: “Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality tools will gradually become part of our customers’ daily lives, providing new kinds of interfaces between our various publics and our services.
“At BNP Paribas, we’re extremely interested in these new technologies, they are an integral part of our Innovation policy, and we firmly intend to draw on them in order to create ground-breaking services designed to further streamline the Customer Journey and improve the overall Customer Experience.”
