Westpac New Zealand is, reportedly, planning to develop a new super branch and a new Help Station in Tauranga, New Zealand.
The development, which will be carried out in the next 18 months, will see the lender investing around $1m.
The new 2,000m² branch, which is scheduled for completion in June 2015, will be called Westpac Centre. It will house retail and business banking teams.
Westpac regional business manager, Steve Atkinson, said Cameron Road has become a significant hub for their business customers so it made sense to look for a development site in that area.
"We expect it will be a stunning space for both our staff and customers with ample parking for 24/7 banking," Atkinson added.
Additionally, Westpac will also open a new help station on Devonport Road in the Tauranga’s business district, where customers can use iPads and laptops to perform banking operations online or can use Smart ATMs to deposit cheques and cash.

"Having both a 24/7 service in the CBD and on Cameron Road will meet those needs," Atkinson said.
