Westpac has begun testing its Cash Tank mobile app on Google Glass and is set to introduce Apple’s iBeacon technology at its branches in Australia and New Zealand, Westpac digital general manager Harry Wendt has said.
Confirming the testing, Harry Wendt was quoted by Fairfax Media as saying that they are currently trialling a version of the St George MoneyMeter app on both smart watches and Google Glass.

"Our intention is to test and learn and then use what we have learnt to introduce it into our other brands," Wendt added.
The Google Glass version of Cash Tank app will allow customers to check their balances without logging into their accounts.
While the Westpac’s New Zealand arm is testing the Google Glass version of Cash Tank app, the Australian arm is testing smartwatch and Google Glass apps at its St George unit.
