US-based TD Bank rolls out Mobile Account Opening functionality to enable customers to open personal banking accounts using their smart phone at TDbank.com.
Designed and customized for a mobile device, the new functionality can be used to open checking, savings, money market, or CD accounts by simply accessing TDBank.com using an Android or iPhone smartphone.
Customers can also manage accounts, pay a bill, transfer funds or find the nearest store with a simple click.
TD Bank Group digital channels senior vice president Rizwan Khalfan said: "Customers value speed and convenience, which makes mobile technology an integral part of daily life."
"Mobile Account Opening is another option for customers to open an account easily and quickly, regardless of where they are."
TD Bank offers various retail, small business and commercial banking products and services more than eight million customers at approximately 1,300 convenient locations across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Metro D.C., the Carolinas and Florida.
