Canadian direct bank Tangerine Bank has adopted the digital signature capture technology from e-SignLive by Silanis to authorize mobile banking transactions for customers.

e-SignLive’s Mobile Signature Capture functionality will transform any web-enabled touch-screen mobile device into a signature pad for capturing digitized handwritten signatures in account opening documents and enforceable contracts.

The integration between Tangerine’s core banking systems and e-SignLive will offer seamless transaction experience to clients without the need to download any app or install any software plug-in.

The e-SignLive process will be available to Tangerine clients desiring to transfer their TFSA, RSP, or RIF from another financial institution.

e-SignLive CEO and co-founder Tommy Petrogiannis said: "Taking the most personal, most used piece of hardware in a customer’s life and using it to help personalize the digital transaction improves the customer’s experience with a product or service and lets them complete transactions quickly so they can get back to their lives."
