British digital bank Revolut has added American Express to its open banking feature to further simplify the account information viewing experience for customers.

Using the open banking feature of Revolut, retail customers in the UK can now connect their American Express and other bank accounts to Revolut.

In doing so, they can view their account balances and transaction history in one place – on the Revolut app.

As of now, customers can check their American Express account balances and transaction histories using the company’s online banking app or website.

As a result, customers need to switch to multiple websites or apps to view their account information.

The digital bank aims to help its users access their financial information at one place, especially for those who have multiple accounts.

Revolut’s open banking feature allows the retail customers to see Revolut balance along with American Express’ transactions, within its app.

Additionally, the feature allows customers to set up budgeting controls for their Revolut account and for other accounts they can view a full picture of their spending.

The bank is currently working on integrating the American Express accounts of its customers in other countries and plans to add more banks and credit cards eventually.

Revolut’s Open Banking feature has been developed in collaboration with TrueLayer, a provider of financial APIs.
