Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest has partnered with mobile
money networks and technology group Monitise to introduce the first
app dedicated to retail banking customers using the iPad.
The iPad app’s functions include balance and transaction checks,
money transfer service between existing accounts, a loan calculator
and an ATM- and branch-finder.

There is also a money top-up service for mobile
phones.
The app is available for NatWest customers, too.
The introduction of the iPad app follows that of an app for
BlackBerry’s tablet PlayBook for client traders.
RBS was the first UK high street bank to introduce an app for
the iPhone at the beginning of last year.
