Qatar National Bank (QNB) has launched new banking services, Al- Safwa, for Egyptian expatriates living in Doha and for QNB First Qatari citizens.
The new service comes after the lender’s successful acquisition of 97.12% controlling stake in QNB Al Ahli operations in Egypt.
Al-Safwa allows Egyptians to easily perform banking operations such as opening a new bank account during their stay in Qatar.
To open a bank account, customers are required to visit any of the QNB branches in Qatar and can get the account opened at any of the 163 QNB Al-Ahli branches in Egypt.
The new service also allows Qatari citizens and Egyptian expats to transfer funds between QNB to QNB Al Ahli accounts in Egypt for free.
The service also offers free ATM card with a ceiling limit that can be used all across the world, mortgage and vehicle loan facilities, and a dedicated personal banking relations officer for Al-Safwa clients in Egypt.
