ASB Bank, a New Zealand-based bank owned by Commonwealth Bank of Australia, has unveiled a new three dimensional (3D) augmented reality app to aid job candidates searching for positions in the bank.

Designed by digital agency One Fat Sheep, the app provides job seekers a virtual and interactive digital experience through a 3D advertisement when scanned through a mobile device or tablet.

Additionally, the app helps candidates in creating profiles, provides interview tips and allows them to register their interest in open roles at ASB.

ASB Bank corporate, commercial and rural executive general manager, Steve Jurkovich, was quoted by CIO New Zealand as saying that the leap off the page recruitment drive is all about going for an innovative and attention grabbing alternative, instead of an off the shelf solution.

"We’re constantly challenging ourselves to deliver the best digital banking solutions, through innovation and service," Jurkovich added.

The new 3D app is compatible with iOS and Android based platforms.
