UAE-based retail bank Emirates NBD has awarded a five-year, multimillion-dollar agreement with NCR to implement its new software platforms and retail banking solutions, to boost its services in the country.
Under the terms of the agreement, NCR will use its software platforms, comprising NCR APTRA Activate, to build a reliable, secure and consistent consumer experience across all of Emirates NBD’s self-service ATM channels.
As part of Emirates NBD’s new software platform, NCR will deploy APTRA interactive services that enable live tellers to take remote control of an ATM as they speak and conduct transactions with customers through two-way audio and video.
Leveraging APTRA Interactive Teller, NCR will offer the interactive services, which allows the bank to re-purpose existing resources for higher value customer service and sales initiatives and optimise costs.
Emirates NBD Group CIO Ali Sajwani said that the agreement will deliver the latest software and hardware technology to help transform the Emirates NBD banking experience.
"NCR brings a unique vision for transforming retail banking through software platforms, helping us speed our innovation and improve our customer experience," Sajwani added.
