The ‘Accounts with Other Banks’ function, made possible through open banking, requires few minutes to setup. Once completed, customers of the British bank can view their current accounts from 15 different UK banks.

The feature offers account information, balances and transactions from other accounts. It provides a complete financial overview on a single screen enabling the customers to track their expenditures and savings.

Additionally, it eliminates the need to visit different banking apps to check balances.

NatWest Personal Banking chief digital officer Frans Woelders said: “We’re excited to be offering this service so our customers will be able to review their finances much more easily from the comfort of their own homes or on the go.

“This feature is the first in a number of innovations we are working on to help customers manage their money more effectively and improve their financial wellbeing.”

Currently, the bank account aggregator service is available on iOS devices only.

Other UK-based banking majors such as Barclays, Lloyds and HSBC have already launched their bank account aggregator services.
