National Australia Bank (NAB) has opened a new financial centre in Chatswood, described as the first in Australia to offer a consolidated range of banking services in one location.

The initiative forms part of NAB’s A$109m ($77m) investment plan over two years, targeting upgrades to 170 branches nationwide.
Of these, 120 branches are in regional communities.
NAB has outlined further plans to invest A$55m in 2026 for 30 additional branch upgrades, following A$53.6m spent refurbishing 140 branches over the past year, including 117 in regional areas.
Staffing levels have also been increased, with NAB adding 50 roles to branch teams last year and planning similar increases in 2026.

By GlobalDataAlthough most simple banking tasks have moved online, the bank said that branches continue to play a role for customers who require more specialised support.
The Chatswood centre is part of a wider plan to establish similar integrated banking facilities in key locations across Australia.
NAB plans to open its first Community Hub later this year, focusing on tailored services for specific local needs.
Further information about the Community Hub is expected in April.
NAB Group Personal Banking executive Ana Marinkovic said: “This is all-in-one banking - all the expertise under one roof.
“For the first time, we’ve brought together home lenders, business bankers, private and premier bankers, fraud support and everyday banking specialists in one place, so customers can get the right help, at the right time, without being passed around.”
