UK-based current accounts and money transfer services provider Monese has partnered with reward currency platform Avios.
The partnership will enable Avios customers to track their balance and transactions on the go.

As a part of the tie-up, Avios will be integrated within the Monese app and will appear as a separate account along with the other currency accounts of the customer.
Avios Group CEO Andrew Crawley said: “Partnering with Monese is a significant move to making it even more convenient for customers to track their Avios while on the go.
“As Avios can be collected and spent in over 190 countries, we understand the need to have a banking account that’s as mobile as our customers.
“We look forward to working with Monese on our exciting plans to make collecting and spending even more rewarding.”

By GlobalDataIn the following months, the two companies intend to offer additional benefits to Monese customers including referral bonuses and enabling exchange of Avios loyalty between Monese customers.
Additionally, a smart feature is scheduled to be introduced that will allow the customers to learn how everyday expenditure can enable them to earn more Avious points.
Launched in 2015, Monese provides instant banking services to a global mobile customer base.
It is said to have 800,000 customers across the 30 European countries. In September last year, it raised $60m in its Series B funding round.
