British challenger bank Metro Bank is set to deploy Glory Global Solutions’ Vertera 6G teller cash recyclers across its new stores and replace older technology in its existing locations.
The bank will also implement Glory Global’s remote monitoring and management solution, known as CashInsight Bridge.
The technology vendor said that CashInsight Bridge will help the lender detect and localise potential faults at an early stage, and will provide the capability to distribute new firmware and currency templates remotely.
Metro Bank director of IT James Shaw said: "Our unique stores, open 7 days a week, 362 days a year, provide customers with a convenient and straightforward way to bank, backed by unparalleled technology. Cash automation plays a vital role and we’re delighted to be working with Glory in ensuring our customers benefit from the most convenient customer experience."
Glory Global Solutions UK country head Paul McKay added: "Our Vertera 6G Teller Cash Recyclers combined with CashInsight Bridge software is a significant evolution in our long history of delivering the best in cash automation performance for our customers. It delivers the ease of use, flexibility and reliability essential to a service focused organisation and enables them to provide these high levels of service at the lowest possible labour costs."
Metro Bank, set up in 2010, currently offers personal, business and private banking at over 40 stores across London and the South East. The bank intends to open up to 110 stores by 2020.
