Jordan Ahli Bank (JAB) has selected US based technology company IBM to provide hardware, software and IT services as an addition to its T24 core banking software from Temenos.

IBM will supply JAB with a service-oriented architecture banking platform that reduces the development time required to bring new banking products and services to the market.

In May 2012, the bank launched its DNA programme that involved reforming its organisational structure, operational model and technology to enhance customer service and prepare for future growth.

Samer Abu Zayed, deputy chief executive and head of Group Information Technology & Enterprise Programs at Jordan Ahli Bank, said: "Jordan Ahli Bank’s transformation into a smarter bank will allow us to drive greater levels of customer service, flexibility and efficiency."

"This is one step further towards achieving our DNA Program transformation journey which will help us meet the rising customer demand for new products and easy digital access to services."
