Italian banking group BPER has teamed up with London-based software company Meniga to build its new digital banking experience solution.

Besides modernising and improving efficiency across operations, the bank has been working on improvement of the digital banking with personal financial management (PFM) solution for its customers.

Commenting on the collaboration, BPER head of IT department Diego Rossi said: “Customers are increasingly looking for solutions that allow them to financially plan for the future. We are pleased to have identified a partner that can provide them with best in class software.”

Recently, BPER rolled out Smart Mobile My Money, a standalone mobile application, as well as a new version of the online banking Smart Web that allows users to manage their finances.

The bank will use Meniga’s digital banking products to create meaningful engagement with its customers and enable them to better understand and manage their finances and understand personal finance insights and patterns.

It will also enable the bank’s customers to keep spending budget under control with features such as categorising transactions; see clear budget overview; track monthly spending with Facebook-like activity feed; and understand patterns with monthly and weekly reports.
