Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Google Cloud and TIM to create two cloud-based infrastructure projects.
The projects include building one technology infrastructure in Turin to provide Google Cloud services, and another in Milan to ensure business continuity.

The Google Cloud services will be available to Italian businesses of all sizes that want to benefit from cloud computing in a secure and sustainable way.
Google Cloud Italy head Fabio Fregi said: “Google has decided to open two Cloud Regions in Italy to support Italian companies in their digitization and definition of future growth opportunities.”
These projects will be developed through TIM’s data centres in the country to ensure the highest international security and data protection standards.
These data centres will be dedicated to provide artificial intelligence (AI), training and professional support for startups.

Through these projects, Intesa Sanpaolo is expected to deploy the latest technologies tailored to its business needs.
