HSBC has expanded its presence in Singapore by opening a new branch in Coronation Shopping Plaza, along Bukit Timah Road for its affluent local and expatriate customers.
The new 3,000 square feet branch, which marks as the firm’s 12th retail outlet in Singapore, will provide international banking, investment and wealth management services for HSBC Premier and HSBC Advance customers.
Matthew Colebrook, head of retail banking and wealth management at HSBC Singapore, said that the opening of the new Bukit Timah branch comes as part of the bank’s strategy to target the affluent market.
Additionally, the new branch will also provide client’s access to HSBC’s Digital Hub that aims to meet the requirements of tech-savvy customers. It is well equipped with mobile devices and computers allowing customers to directly experience a range of e-banking services.
HSBC said Bukit Timah is the most affluent neighborhoods in Singapore where most of its wealthy local and expatriate customers reside.
