solarisBank, a Berlin-based bank for digital and fintech startups, has received a banking license from German regulatory body BaFin.
The company, which was founded by Marko Wenthin and Andreas Bittnerhas, has created the ‘first’ global banking platform, called Solaris – a Banking as a Platform (BaaP) service.
At present, the company is seeking to collaborate with e-commerce and fintech startups by offering integration of banking services through the modular platform.
SolarisBank, a product of the FinLeap startup factory, was set up in 2015 and currently operates with a workforce of 30.
