First GREEN Bank has created a separate department and staff designated to providing specialised services to Florida’s legal community.
The bank said that the Attorney Banking Department will offer specialised services such as traditional business accounts, operating accounts and interest on trust accounts (IOTA), as well as advanced cost lines of credit and other types of commercial loans.
The department, which will cater to Florida’s over 90,000 licensed attorneys, will be led by First GREEN Bank’s founder, Ken LaRoe, and the bank’s director of attorney banking services, Scott Leitner.
LaRoe commented: "First GREEN Bank is providing these products and services because we feel that a market as specialized as the legal profession requires a bank that understands the needs of a law firm — and a banker who understands the intricacies and regulations of legal practice in Florida.
"We recognize how important and vital Florida’s attorneys are, and want to ensure they have the financial tools they need to best serve our community."
Leitner said: "Calling on our knowledge and experience as both attorneys and bankers, Ken and I are able to interact with attorneys on their level to discuss their business, ongoing cases, and any financial challenges that we may be able to resolve."
