Emirates NBD has selected Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) AI and machine learning services to drive personalised retail banking services.

The collaboration will see Emirates NBD leveraging AWS’ machine-learning service Amazon Personalize.

The service will enable the lender to develop individualised recommendations supporting the launch of new retail banking applications.

One of the applications is a personal finance manager that predicts customer requirements and matches them with appropriate solution. The system uses an automated, self-learning system to deliver the personalised service.

The system also utilises Natural Language Processing technology to refine customer interaction with automated call centres.

To further improve the service, Emirates NBD will leverage cloud service Amazon Polly. It uses advanced deep learning technologies to convert written content into human-like speech further enhancing automated customer interactions.
