Diamond Bank, a retail lender in Nigeria, has rolled out its new SWAG Account at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), in the wake of this year’s on-going National Universities Games Association (NUGA) competition.
According to Diamond Bank, SWAG, an acronym for ‘Student with A Goal,’ is a new financial product designed to enable Nigerian youths to achieve their financial goals.

Diamond Bank corporate communications head Ayona Trimnell said the Diamond S.W.A.G. will create value for its young customers, to enable and empower them for the future.
"We see the NUGA fiesta as a good platform to launch this product and partner the students in building a secured future," Trimnell added.
Diamond Bank youths and school banking propositions head Victor Nwagwu was quoted by thisdaylive.com as saying that
the lender has already recorded opening of over a hundred accounts and more were expected.
