French lender Credit Agricole has reported a net profit of EUR930m for the third quarter of 2015, up 14.8% compared to a year earlier.

The bank’s pre-tax income climbed 8.7% to EUR1.13bn while its operating income increased 21.4% to EUR580m from the prior year.

Revenues dropped 2% to EUR3.92bn for the third quarter compared to the corresponding quarter of 2014.

In Regional Banks, part of the bank’s French retail banking division, revenues were EUR3.38bn, a rise of 1.8% from the year-ago quarter.

LCL, the other constituent of the bank’s French retail banking division, posted revenues of EUR891m, an increase of 1.8% year-on-year.

Revenue at the bank’s international retail banking division rose by 0.8% to EUR636m compared to the year ago period. While the unit’s operating income increased 17.3% to EUR136m.
