Citigroup has decided to club its retail banking and mortgage operations under Jonathan Larsen, who is currently the bank’s global head of retail banking, and head of consumer banking for Asia Pacific.
Larsen will now also take control of the US retail banking and mortgage portfolio, the lender said in an internal memo.
Will Howle, Citi’s head of retail banking in the US, and C.D. Davies, who runs the US mortgage business, will now report to Larsen.
Also, the bank has named Anand Selvakesari as head of consumer banking for Asia, a position Larsen has been holding since 2009.
Selvakesari, who joined Citibank in 1991, previously headed the group’s consumer banking arm in China and India.
In his new role, Selvakesari will report to Citi’s CEO for global consumer banking Stephen Bird, and Francisco Aristeguieta, Citi’s Asia CEO.
