China’s Hua Xia Bank has signed a software professional service agreement with NCR to deploy its multi-vendor software platform, Aptra Activate, to support various consumer transaction technologies.
Under the terms of the contract, the software will run on the bank’s entire fleet of multi-vendor ATMs, self-service kiosks for card issuance, and account enquiry kiosks nationwide.
The US technology company has also agreed to offer implementation maintenance for the new platform, which is expected to start this fall.
Following completion of the deployment, the customers of Hua Xia Bank will enjoy a dependable experience across all hardware in the bank’s self-service channel, and will integrate with the bank’s current infrastructure.
NCR claims that Hua Xia Bank will be able to make more efficient use of IT resources and become more productive in application development by using a single self-service application.
NCR Greater China financial services president Gary Miao said, "This complex and large-scale project involves the integration and running of both cash and non-cash transaction machine types."
