Chase, the retail, banking arm of JPMorgan
Chase, has released a mobile banking app for Android-enabled
handsets, complementing its existing iPhone m-banking
application.
To use the Android app, customers need to
be enrolled with Chase’s internet banking service. The facility
enables Chase customers to check their balance, pay bills, make
credit card payments, and locate the nearest branch or ATM using
GPS technology.
Chase’s Android app also offers a remote
cheque deposit feature. Chase upgraded its iPhone app to offer
remote cheque deposit – customers require to take an image with the
handset’s camera of the front and back of cheques – in
July.
At the same time, Chase’s introduced
“QuickPay,” a peer-to-peer payments facility allowing users to send
or receive money to or from anyone using only a valid e-mail
address.
