Brazil-based diversified financial services company Bradesco is planning to start the pilot of new technology from NCR, with an aim to provide customers immediate account credit for cash deposits made at the ATMs.
If the testing is successful, it will eliminate the use of envelopes for cash deposits, making Bradesco one of the first financial institutions in Brazil to incorporate intelligent deposit into its ATM channel.
As soon as the account holders deposit the amount, it will be immediately credited into their accounts. This includes weekends, too. The new technology will be beneficial for both account holders and non-account holders of the bank.
Bradesco launched this pilot in June at its Bradesco Next branch in São Paulo.
NCR Latin America and Caribbean vice president Elias Silva said, "With NCR’s technology, Bradesco takes the lead once again and inaugurates this new service in Brazil."
"Bradesco is consistently a pioneer in using technology to deliver quality services throughout the country."
